Kitchen in blue

This new kitchen hardly came out of the blue. It was a long time coming and the result of a some careful planning on the part of the homeowner and The English Contractor team. The only way into the old kitchen of this ranch style home was through a narrow doorway. Dark and cavernous, with a tray ceiling, the main lighting was a ceiling fan with brass accents. Our team took this entire space a part and built it back again with a vision of blue.

Blue Skies Ahead

The hallmark of this kitchen is the blue-painted lower custom-built cabinetry. The white upper cabinetry keeps the space feeling open and airy. A window seat below a picture window is now a favorite place for both humans and pets to perch. Now open to the adjacent dining area, this new kitchen is just waiting for a gathering.

Showpiece Appliances

The new 48-inch Wolf range is a real showstopper, making this kitchen not only beautiful but functional as well. The blue theme continues with a decorative tile backsplash behind the range, flanked by a dimensional white backsplash on either side. Lighted cabinetry adds additional brightness to the space.

A huge thank you to Craig Russell and his crew for helping with a very last minute project at our house after we had moved to Chicago! After hiring Craig for a variety of other projects–both big and small–over the years, we knew without a doubt we could trust Craig and his crew to get the job done–completely stress-free!
